Unearthed Botswana Rainbow Arch Agate Slice with Smoky Quartz Rose Cut
Signature agate pattern radiates in the stone, out to edges of natural shape of the rough material. I chose these slices to preserve some of their natural state to reflect their origins. The faces are polished nicely and show the patterning well. This agate slice is a Botswana agate in tones of cream, taupe, dusty rose to almost gray lavender. Areas of brown tones due to varying levels of transparency.
You will get lost in this stone investigating their layers of mineral deposits. The agate patterned metal shows off the radial agate pattern. Two rainbow wire arches frame the piece. A rose cut smoky quartz hosts a base for the swivel bail. Under the rose quartz stone is agate bands patterned metal. Oxidized and hand finished to a honed satin sheen.
Hand fabricated in sterling silver and sizable. 3.25" long by 1.8" wide.the agate is almost a .25" thick. It comes with a simple cable 1.5mm chain or a heavy handmade 17" round link chain finished with j hooks for adaptable attachments to other of my pieces.
